We ask teams to refrain from abusing known glitches to get an advantage in matches.

Known Glitches:

  • None

Due to the different nature of other glitches not listed above, each case will be reviewed individually.

1.5 ROOFS & AREAS:

If a player enters a banned roof or area, the game will kill the player and display a message to ‘stay inside the play area’.

Note: You can also see a visual representation of the banned areas in SQOB by clicking HERE and FP by clicking HERE.

1.6 RESTRICTION PENALTIES:

  • If a team violates a Known Glitches restriction, they forfeit the map in which the infraction occurred.
  • If a team violates a CLASS RESTRICTION, a 20-point penalty will be applied for every 10 seconds in which the violation occurs in Flashpoint or 0.5 Points for every 10 seconds if the violation occurs in Squad Obliteration.
    • This means that accidentally spawning with an extra class doesn’t cost your team the game as long as you redeploy right away.
    • Accumulating three (3) CLASS Restriction violations within the same map will cause a map forfeit for the team in violation.
    • Video proof is required for each incident.
      • Videos must be at least 10 seconds long and must show the scoreboard for the duration of the infraction.
  • Teams are required to report and provide proof of any rule infraction(s) at the end of the map in which the infraction occurred. Failure to do so can possibly void any penalty for the opposing team.

Note #1: There are no listed penalties for the items listed in Section 1.2 because these items are already banned inside the game in each Portal experience we created and, therefore, can’t be equipped/used.
Note #2: There are also no penalties for getting on banned roofs and areas because the game will automatically kill the player if they enter one of those areas.

2. Maps

2.1 SQUAD OBLITERATION MAP POOL:

  • Arica Harbor
  • Breakaway
  • Discarded
  • Manifest
  • Spearhead
  • Stranded

2.2 FLASHPOINT MAP POOL:

  • Flashpoint
  • Discarded
  • Manifest
  • Spearhead
  • Exposure
  • Arica Harbor

2.3 MAP SELECTION

  • 1st Map (SQOB): Home Team Pick (Left on the Schedule)
  • 2nd Map (SQOB): Away Team Pick (Right on the Schedule)
  • 3rd Map (FP): Home Team Pick (must be picked after the 2nd Map pick)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • No map can be picked twice in the same match, meaning that if Arica Harbor is picked by the home team, the away team can’t pick it as their map choice.
    • This also applies to the third map on Flashpoint. So teams need to think carefully what maps they pick.
  • In addition, a team can’t pick the same Squad Obliteration maps in a three-match period. This means that if a team picks “Manifest” as their Match 1 map, they won’t be able to pick it again for Match 2 and 3.

3. Server Settings

3.1 SERVER HOSTING:

  • 1st Map (SQOB): Home Team Hosts (Left on the Schedule)
  • 2nd Map (SQOB): Away Team Hosts (Right on the Schedule)
  • 3rd Map (FP): Home Team Hosts

Server Regions:

  • When playing against a team from your region, use a server in the same region.
  • When playing against a team from another region, please use the following:
    • North America vs. Europe: Play 1 map on East US and 1 map on EU (or vice-versa depending on who the home team is). Third map is hosted by the home team.

The player (and their squad) that creates the server will always be placed on the US team.

Please join the server as a squad so it puts you all on the same team without any issues. Joining individually will assign players in an ABABABAB order and isn’t practical.

The RESTART MAP and NEXT MAP features now work properly in Portal, please use them.

3.2 SERVER OVERVIEW:

Every server MUST be password protected. We recommend that teams change their server password before every match to prevent people from keeping track of old passwords and joining as possible players.

To access Experience Hosting, press: Play > Battlefield Portal > Host > Experience Code

The game will then ask you to provide:

Server Details:

  • Name: ESB Match
  • Description: –

Server Settings:

  • Welcome Message: –
  • Password: ON

Once you are done entering the above information, press “Host Server.”

Notes:

  • The server region is based on the location of the player hosting the server. When server quotas are full in a specific region, it will host the server in another region.
  • The use of passwords containing inappropriate language is strictly prohibited.

3.4 6V6 ESB SQUAD OBLITERATION EXPERIENCE CODES

  • SQOB Map Pool 1: abr7s7
    • Arica Harbor / Breakaway / Stranded
  • SQOB Map Pool 2: abr7s8
    • Discarded / Manifest / Spearhead

3.5 6V6 ESB FLASHPOINT EXPERIENCE CODES

    • Flashpoint / Discarded / Manifest
  • FP Map Pool 2: abr5tq
    • Spearhead / Exposure / Arica Harbor

4. Scoring

All matches have a Best of 3 (Bo3) format. Teams are required to play all 3 maps, regardless of the score.

4.1 SQUAD OBLITERATION

  • Each map is played twice (2 rounds). Each team gets to play on both the US and RU sides.
  • There is only 1 bomb
  • Each team has 3 M-COMs it has to defend.
  • The match ends when you either destroy two enemy M-COMs, or the 15-minute timer runs out.
  • The team that has destroyed the most M-COMs after both rounds is the winner.
    • Teams can’t destroy more than 4 M-COMs each.

4.2 FLASHPOINT

  • Each map is played twice (2 rounds). Each team gets to play on both the US and RU sides.
  • Players must be within 10m of the Flashpoint to capture it and score points.
    • Keep in mind that you can’t capture the Flashpoint if you are more than 2 meters above or below it.
  • Your team gains 1 point per second while controlling the active Flashpoint.
    • Keep in mind the point remains neutral if both teams have an equal amount of players on the point.
  • Each Flashpoint remains active for 60 seconds. Teams then have 10 seconds to rotate to the new Flashpoint before it activates.
  • Your team wins one round by either reaching the 300 point limit, or having the most points after the 14 minute global timer ends the round.
  • The team that has earned the most points after both rounds is the winner.

For a detailed recap, please refer to this VIDEO.

4.3 MAP TIES

If your scores are tied at the end of both rounds of a Map. The Map is considered a tie.

4.4 MATCH TIES

When your team is playing in a Best of 3 match and the following situations arise, the match is counted as a tie.

The match IS a tie if:

  • Team A wins the first map, Team B wins the second map, third map is a tie.
    • Or vice-versa.
  • All maps are tied.

The match ISN’T a tie if:

  • Team A wins two maps and the third map is a tie.
    • Or if Team B wins two maps and the third map is a tie.
    • Or the above in any order.
  • Team A/B wins the first map and ties the second and third maps.
    • Or vice-versa.

4.4 MATCH SCORING

Teams earn the following points on their division table based on their match result:

  • Each win = 3 points
  • Each tie = 1 point
  • Each loss = 0 points

4.5 DIVISION TIE-BREAKERS

If teams have the same amount of points at the end of the regular season, here are the division table tie-breakers:

Two teams:

  1. Head-to-Head match points total.
  2. Head-to-Head total maps won.
  3. Head-to-Head total sectors won.
  4. MCOM DIFF (M-COM Differential = M-COMs Won – M-COMs Lost)
  5. MW (Maps Won)
  6. MCOM W (M-COMs Won)
  7. Coin Toss

Three or more:

The “Two teams” tie-breakers apply but are summed for all tied teams and compared until two teams remain.

Example: Team A, Team B, and Team C are tied.

  1. Head-to-Head match points total
    • Team A = points earned vs. Team B and C
    • Team B = points earned vs. Team A and C
    • Team C = points earned vs. Team A and B

Once two teams remain, please start the “Two teams” tie-breaker process from step 1 with the two teams.

5. Official Schedule

5.1 STANDARD DAYS

The full schedule is detailed below. The Standard Days/Times are there if both teams can’t agree on the Day/Time of the match. When that is the case, the “Standard Day/Time” is to be applied (this is why it appears on the league schedules this way, which doesn’t mean teams can’t agree to play on another Day/Time, as long as it’s in the respective week the match is meant to be played on).

  • All 5v5 leagues (and respective divisions) feature 2 Matches a Week.
  • While the schedule below highlights the Standard Days for each week, teams can still play the games on other days/times as long as each match is played in its respective week.
    • For EU vs. EU and NA vs. NA, the first match of the week has to be played from Monday-Thursday, while the second match of the week has to be played from Friday-Sunday.
    • For NA vs. EU, teams can play their first match of the week on Saturday or Sunday as long as it is played before the week’s second match.

6. Matches

6.1 ORGANISING

  • For 5v5 Divisions (for their first match of the week), each team must communicate their availability & map with their opponent by:
    • Saturdays (of the previous match week) at 9:00 PM CET.
      • Week 1 is the only exception to this rule.
  • For 5v5 Divisions (for their second match of the week), each team must communicate their availability & map with their opponent by:
    • Wednesdays (of the respective match week) at 9:00 PM CET.
  • If a team fails to communicate their availability (and therefore can’t agree upon a match day) with their opponent by the above timeframe, a 1 M-COM penalty on the first side of the first map will be applied for each late day (24 hours).
  • Once both teams agree on the date/time they will both play, please confirm the details of your match via your respective #division-chat in the ESB Discord server.
  • Please refer to Section 5 for more details on the schedule and standard times.

Note: The above rules should give teams at least 48 hours’ notice to prepare for a match.

6.2 MATCHDAY

Failure to abide by the following rules may result in a match forfeit/penalty:

  • Teams must have one of their representatives in their respective #division-chat in the “Esport Battlefield” Discord server 15 minutes prior to the match start in order to communicate on which server the match will be played on.
  • Teams have a maximum of 20 minutes past the scheduled match time to have all their players join the respective server used for the first map of the match, and ready to play.
  • A match may not start unless both teams each have exactly 5 eligible players in the server.
    • IMPORTANT: Each team may not have more than 5 players in the server.
  • Players may only be subbed in between maps, and not rounds.
    • Teams must communicate that a substitution is taking place before the start of the next map through their #division-chat channel in the “Esport Battlefield” Discord server.
    • Teams have a maximum of 5 minutes to make any substitutions. Taking more time may result in a 0.5 M-COM penalty per extra minute the player isn’t in the server.
    • Once a player is subbed out, he may not be subbed in again for the remainder of the match.

6.3 SERVER CRASHES

In the event that a server crashes during a LIVE round, please use the following procedure:

  • If the server crashes DURING the first 7 minutes of a map, the side must be fully replayed.
  • If the server crashes AFTER the first 7 minutes of a side, teams will be required to keep their score obtained thus far and continue playing the next map.

6.4 PLAYER CRASHES

In the event that a player crashes during a LIVE round, please use the following procedure:

  • If a player disconnects before any kills are made, the map must be restarted.
    • Friendly fire is not considered a kill.
  • If a player disconnects after a kill has been made on the map, the player must re-join the match as soon as possible.

6.5 MATCH RESULT REPORTING

  • The winning team will be required to report the match result, using the format presented below in their respective #score-submission channel in the “Esport Battlefield” Discord server.
    • Team A vs Team B
      Maps Won: (X)-(X)
      M-COMs Won: (X)-(X)
      Flashpoint Points: (X)- (X)
    • If the losing team wishes to contest the result, it must do so within 24 hours of the match end.
      • Any result contesting must be done via the #league_assistance channel in the “Esport Battlefield” Discord server.
  • The winning team is also required to send 6 screenshots (1 for each side’s final leaderboard) in the #screenshot-submission channel in the “Esport Battlefield” Discord server.

      • Please ensure you are taking in-game SCREENSHOTS using your PC or by using an external capture card.
      • Pictures of TVs/Monitors/Projectors or screenshots from blurry video recordings will not be accepted.
    • Both teams are required to take the 6 screenshots for extra verification.
      • If neither team has the required screenshots when asked by an event admin, both teams will face penalties.

7. Teams

7.1 PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

  • All players must currently reside in Europe or North America, which means that the event is region-locked.
  • Player IDs (EA ID / STEAM ID) must be appropriate, non-offensive, and non-infringing of third-party copyrights. They may not impersonate a brand or trademark, regardless of whether it is registered.
    • Any attempt to circumvent the above rules, whether by using different spelling, numbers, gibberish, or a combination of the aforementioned, will be considered an infringement of the above rule.
  • Each roster can be composed of 10 players maximum (5 Starters and 5 Substitutes)
  • All players must be on the respective team’s roster on their dedicated team page of the https://league.esport-battlefield.com/ website to be considered ELIGIBLE.
    • Players must have their EXACT EA ID / STEAM ID in his/her team’s roster.
    • Each player* may only have ONE account* on their team’s roster page.
    • Each account* may only be used by 1 person. Account sharing is strictly prohibited.
    • All players must be currently living in the region their division is taking place in.
      • Once again, this effectively does mean that the event is region-locked.
      • Players that have a constant ping that is above 120 throughout a match, may be considered out-of-region and investigated by ESB Staff.
    • The use of an ineligible player will result in a full-match forfeit.
    • Each account* must have reached at least Rank 50 in Battlefield 2042 with at least 40 hours played.
      • This can easily be checked through https://battlefieldtracker.com/
      • For players that play on multiple platforms:
        • As long as they meet the requirements on one of the platforms they play on and can prove that both Platform IDs are linked to the same EA Account, they will be allowed to play.
        • Teams must communicate these exceptions through the #league_assistance channel in the “Esport Battlefield” Discord server.
        • Verified players will have a “*” next to their IDs on their team’s roster on the league website.
      • Teams using accounts that don’t meet these criteria will be disqualified.
  • Any player caught playing simultaneously for more than one team on the same platform and division (ex PC 5v5), regardless of the region, will receive an immediate ban from the whole season.
    • To clarify, a player CAN:
      • Play on a different team on a different platform. Meaning a player could theoretically play on both a PC and PS5 team at the same time.
      • Play on a different team that is playing a different game mode on the same platform. Meaning a player can play in both PC 5v5 and PC 8v8.
    • To clarify, a player CAN’T:
      • Play in multiple divisions of the same format/mode even if they are based in different regions (whether this is NA, EU, or SA).
    • Players who have already received a season ban in previous seasons and are caught breaking this rule again will be permanently banned from all future ESB events indefinitely.
    • Depending on the severity of the infraction, these penalties may be increased at the discretion of the staff handling the case.

Note: *Player refers to the physical person, while Account refers to the online persona being used by the player.

ESB reserves the right to review individual player & team cases and refuse participation should our staff deem it necessary to maintain the spirit of the rules indicated above.

7.2 ROSTER LOCK

  • A roster lock will come into place at the start of Week 3. After Monday 03/06/2024 at 6:00 am EDT / 12:00 pm CEST no changes can be made to any of the rosters, no exceptions.

7.3 ROSTER CHANGES

  • Any and all roster changes must be communicated via the #roster-changes channel in the “Esport Battlefield” Discord server, by one of the 2 assigned team representatives at least 24 hours prior to the time of their next match.
    • If a roster change request is placed on the same day of the match, then the changes will not be validated until after the match is over. Any players used during that match that was not present in the team’s roster prior to the match will be ineligible to play.
    • The use of ineligible players results in a map forfeit for each map the player participated in.
    • If a player is switching between Team A and Team B within the same league category (ex PC 5v5 INT), the player changing also has the responsibility of notifying the league Admin and verifying his identity by sending a private message with the request to either CodeName_Deus (EA ID), CodeName_Deus (Steam ID).
    • The following actions count as roster changes:
      • adding players
      • removing players
      • fixing IDs
      • changing IDs
  • Each 5v5 Team Roster is composed of 5 STARTERS and 5 SUBSTITUTES. During the course of the season, only a maximum of 5 roster changes are allowed for each team throughout the season.
  • Players may only switch teams once during the season and before the Roster lock detailed in section 7.2 of the rules.

7.4 TEAM ELIGIBILITY

  • Team names and tags must be appropriate and non-offensive. In addition, names may not constitute copyright infringement of any kind.
    • Team names may not be identical or similar to other teams playing in the qualifiers.
    • Teams/Organizations submitting multiple rosters must clearly differentiate those rosters through their naming.
      • Example: Team A & Team A should be Team A Bravo & Team A Charlie, or Team A Blue & Team A Red.
    • Teams may not change their names/tags once the season has started.
      • Exceptions will be considered on a case-to-case for valid reasons.
        • Example: A team acquiring a sponsor.
  • All team logos must be representative of either the team’s name or tags.
    • Logos must be appropriate, non-offensive, and must not contain any form of nudity.
    • Teams may not use images that constitute copyright infringement of any kind.

8. FORBIDDEN SOFTWARE

8.1 CHEATING

It is strictly prohibited to use any program that modifies or changes the game in any way, whether through external graphical solutions or 3rd party software (Wallhacks, Aimbot, Macros, etc.).

Using software to manipulate your connection (ex: a VPN), is strictly prohibited as well.

Players caught cheating will be banned from the season, and upcoming ESB events for at least 6 months.

8.2 MOSS REQUIREMENT

To participate in this event, you must run MOSS Anti-cheat by Nohope92 to monitor your game before playing ESB League matches.

Players are responsible for keeping their MOSS match zip files stored and untouched for the duration of the season. League admins may request any player’s ZIP file from any played match, whether there is suspicion of cheating or for a random check.

Players caught not using MOSS, unable to provide their match zip files, or tampering with the zip files, will be disqualified.

9. Fair Play

  • To guarantee fair play for all teams and players involved, under extenuating circumstances, our league administrators have the right to make decisions outside or against the current league ruleset.
  • We ask teams to refrain from abusing known glitches to get an advantage in matches. Due to the different nature of these glitches, each case will be reviewed individually and a decision will be made by the admins.
  • As Section 7 of the rules states, sharing accounts is strictly prohibited.
    • Team leaders will be held accountable for facilitating and organizing account sharing between players.
  • Players caught lying and/or providing fake claims/proof to any match-related issue, will be disqualified for the remainder of the season.

We, therefore, ask teams to maintain a certain level of fair play when playing in our events.

  • All featured matches will be announced through the #featured-matches channel in the “Esport Battlefield” Discord server.

Note: If any match is selected as a featured match and one (or both) of the teams refuses to play at the indicated time, they will forfeit their match.

11. Commitment

11.1 OVERVIEW

Participating in our leagues takes a lot of effort and dedication from teams who want to compete in a stable and competitive environment consistently. Teams that participate in our leagues automatically commit to playing their respective season fully.

Teams who chose to leave or stop playing in the league before the season is over may face the following consequences:

  • Ban from participating in the next ESB League Season.

Note: Teams who forfeit more than 3 Games during the regular season may be disqualified from the current season, and/or banned from participating in the upcoming season as well.

11.2 REMOVED TEAMS

  • In the event that a team retires or is removed from the League during the first part of the season (prior to Week 3), every match played won’t count towards the league table and all future fixtures will be counted as a bye.
  • In the event that a team retires or is removed from the League during the second part of the season (after Week 3), the matches that remain to be played by that team will be counted as 0-2 (0-4) losses, in favor of the team(s) that was supposed to play them.

11.3 EVENT SUSPENSION

ESB reserves the right to suspend the regular season at any moment, should there not be enough remaining teams (3).
